AWS secures contract for National furniture giant in Swindon for 12 months.
In the latter part of 2014, AWS secured an exclusive ongoing contract for a national furniture giant based in Swindon for a period of 12 months. Our client wished to expand their existing premises and was taking on an extensive building project over the course of the next 12 months.
In order to ensure the project ran smoothly and according to the specified deadline, AWS was selected as we provided an in-depth plan to tackle the waste produced during this project and the particular avenues in which we organise waste disposal.
What will AWS provide in the project?
During the course of the next 12 months, AWS will ensure that all rubbish produced during this project is sorted out into the relevant categories and then disposed of through the correct channels. We will also log all movements of waste and their specific destination, as well details about the waste being transported. This forms part of our Site Waste Management Plan Legislation or SWMP for short during this particular project. Exact routes and the waste disposal centres will also be noted. There will be monthly reports on the waste produced during the whole project.
AWS will provide an easy to use digital SWMP system for the project. The online digital system can be accessed through any device that is connected to the internet such as a desktop, laptop or mobile device. The system has been specifically designed for ease of access, and it is a very simple system to use.
What advantages will SWMP provide your development project?
An SWMP as provided by AWS will provide your company with a traceable route and log system of all waste transported off your site. The SWMP will prove vital in proving to government authorities that all waste produced during the development of any site has been disposed of in the proper fashion. By having a SWMP in place from the beginning, will create a healthy precedent and ensure that waste is organised into the right categories and sent to the right facility.
The SWMP will also boost the environmental credentials of your company as it will show that you have dedicated your efforts into ensuring all waste is recycled properly. This will prove useful in the future as many development contractors are keen to ensure that all waste is recycled properly.
